Why is CATIA V5 crashing when I use the Assembly DMU tool?

CATIA V5 may crash when using the Assembly DMU tool due to compatibility issues between new hardware/software drivers and older CATIA versions. A workaround is to disable the “section fill” option in tools > options > mechanical design > assembly design > DMU sectioning. Additionally, clearing the CATSettings directory may resolve other issues.
