This document presents a study on a co-simulation tool developed to optimise hybrid residential energy systems using photovoltaic (PV) panels, heat pumps, battery storage, and thermal storage for a 39-home case study.

By combining EnergyPlus and Dymola software, the research evaluates energy performance, smart control strategies, renewable energy integration, and carbon reduction potential, demonstrating how hybrid all-electric heating systems can support long-term net-zero energy goals.
