Can you reorder the product tree in CATIA?

Reordering the product tree allows you to organize components logically, making it easier to navigate and manage assemblies. This is particularly useful when working on large or complex assemblies where clarity and structure are essential. To reorder the product tree, follow these steps:

1. Access the tree reordering tool:
   • Open your assembly in the assembly design workbench.
   • Go to edit > tree reordering from the menu bar.
2. Select a node:
   • Initially, no dialog box will appear. Select a node (component) in the product tree to activate the tree reordering dialog.
3. Use the reordering options:
   • The dialog box provides three buttons for reordering:
     • Move up: Moves the selected component up by one position.
     • Move down: Moves the selected component down by one position.
     • Reposition: Allows you to move the selected component to a specific position by selecting another component as a reference.
4. Apply changes:
   • Click apply to preview the changes in the tree structure.
   • Once satisfied, click OK to confirm and update the product tree.
