Can you assign keyboard shortcuts to commands?
Yes, most commands in CATIA V5 can be customized with keyboard shortcuts. However, some commands may already have default shortcuts or may not support customization due to system restrictions. To assign a custom shortcut:
- Open the customize dialog:
- Go to tools > customize or right-click on any toolbar and select customize.
- Access the commands tab:
- In the customize dialog box, select the commands tab.
- Use the filter or scroll through categories to locate the desired command.
- Select the command:
- Highlight the command you want to assign a shortcut to (e.g., hide/show).
- Assign a shortcut key:
- Click show properties.
- In the accelerator field, press the desired key combination (e.g., spacebar for hide/show).
- Ensure that the selected combination is not already assigned to another function.
- Save and close:
- Click OK to save changes and close the dialog box.
