This document explores the Vehicle Systems Modelling and Analysis (VeSyMA) platform developed by Claytex, a comprehensive suite of compatible Modelica libraries designed for modular automotive vehicle simulation and analysis within Dymola. The paper outlines how the VeSyMA ecosystem combines scalable vehicle architectures with detailed subsystem libraries covering engines, powertrains, suspensions, motorsport applications, Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL), and terrain-based simulation environments.

By supporting multiple modelling fidelities — from idealised drive cycle models to high-fidelity multibody vehicle dynamics and crank-angle resolved engine simulations — the platform enables efficient development of internal combustion, hybrid, electric, and motorsport vehicles for applications including drivability analysis, virtual calibration, durability testing, ride and handling development, and real-time HiL and DiL simulation. The work also highlights VeSyMA’s integration with tools such as rFpro, OpenCRG, FTire, and FMI-based workflows, demonstrating how open and modular simulation frameworks can accelerate vehicle development while supporting scalable multi-domain engineering workflows.
