It may be hard for some of us to believe, but it’s been just over 20 years since CATIA V5 was introduced. For about 15 of those years, it has been the leading digital engineering tool set in the automotive industry, with a huge range of capabilities and a thriving ecosystem of specialist partner products. The family line has, of course, continued through to the latest “native CATIA” apps on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, but CATIA V5 remains a vibrant product line that, thanks to recent developments, could be said to have found a new lease of life.
