TECHNIA, the #1 PLM knowledge leader, announced today that they have entered into a strategic partnership with TOMRA Sorting Solutions - an international provider of technology-led solutions that enable the circular economy. Their advanced sorting systems optimise resource recovery and minimise waste in the food, recycling and mining industries.
Leuven, February 26, 2020
This partnership will leverage digital applications, processes and systems integration expertise to enable TOMRA Sorting Solutions to achieve increased data accuracy and efficiency under the program named, “The Source”.
The program consists of multiple projects that will optimise output from part design processes to other enterprise systems and allow the organisation to leverage a single data repository. TOMRA is restructuring digital engagement with their customers to share plant layout concepts in a connected, 3D journey.
TECHNIA will deliver a Product Lifecycle Management solution across 8 global sites. The PLM solution is based on Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and supported by TECHNIA Software and Services to deliver a unified business platform. TOMRA’s vision of “The Source,” as a platform to provide sustainable design and manufacturing efficiency from product ideation to recyclability, is in direct alignment with TECHNIA principles. And will be achieved with support from expert TECHNIA Industrial Equipment consultancy, software and services across the globe.
“This partnership is a great achievement for us as a combination of TECHNIA’s strong global delivery capacity with our strong Benelux Team. The approach that TOMRA is choosing with “The Source” program is something we place a lot of emphasis on with other customers – a clear, program focused approach is a recipe for success. The combination of our leading 3DEXPERIENCE knowledge with our strong SOLIDWORKS skills was key to this strategic win.
It’s even more fantastic to see that the focus TOMRA has, on enabling ways to make the world a greener place, compliments our renewed focus at TECHNIA – making product creation sustainable.”
– Jonas Gejer, CEO, TECHNIA.
“TOMRA Sorting Solutions decided to install the 3DEXPERIENCE system with TOMRA’s end customers in mind. This PLM platform will further optimize our efficiency in product design, manufacturing & service and is a structural enabler of our digitalization journey. By using the out of the box 3DEXPERIENCE features, we aim at facilitating innovative and attractive product designs in a distributed organization. We are very happy with our program progress and our selection of TECHNIA as a strategic partner with demonstrated track record of successful PLM implementations.”
