Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, November 20, 2017
Following the acquisition of Integral Powertrain’s sister company Intrinsys Ltd by the Addnode Group AB back in August 2017, this agreement will extend the beneficial relationship, once held by Intrinsys, to the newly formed PLM group which also includes TECHNIA.
The agreement facilitates Integral Powertrain continuing to use Intrinsys’ engineering design, analysis and PLM services. It will also provide Integral Powertrain with access to the extensive and bespoke software products and services offered by the PLM group that will further enhance the business benefits that Integral Powertrain can achieve through the advanced application of the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
“This agreement is viewed as a strategic cooperation that will underpin and support the growth and develop of our world-class business,” says Luke Barker, Technical Director Integral Powertrain.
“We are excited about the opportunities this relationship can offer, the advanced application of PLM tools is the mechanism through which we will improve the efficiency of our business, allowing us to provide greater value to our customers by reducing non-recurring engineering costs,” Luke added.
Integral Powertrain is a flagship reference customer for the new group and a leading example of how a business has used the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform to achieve a strong market presence through the application of the software tools to streamline and automate their business processes.
“First deployed back in 2012 in the form of CATIA V6, Integral Powertrain recognised that the platform could be the enabler to achieve significant business benefits by integrating the various departments across their business allowing everyone to access a single source of data,” says Darren Cairns, Managing Director Intrinsys.
The software is used throughout the business from concept design, through product development, procurement, manufacturing, sales and marketing. The Integral Powertrain business is firmly built upon the exploitation of advanced software tools and processes providing its engineers with the latest next generation PLM products and services.
As part of the joint marketing agreement each party will be able to promote the products and services of the other to their customers and contacts and the agreement is viewed as a strategic cooperation that will underpin and support the ambitions of all parties as they continue to grow and develop their world class businesses.
