How can you quickly associate one parameter value with another?

Associating parameter values allows you to create dynamic relationships between constraints or dimensions. This ensures that changes to one parameter automatically update related parameters, improving design efficiency and consistency.

Identify the parameters:

  • For example, consider two constraints: Offset 1 = 160 and Offset 2 = 60.

Modify the dependent parameter:

  • Double-click on the offset 2 constraint to open its modification dialog box.

Create the link:

  • Type = in the value field and then select the offset 1 constraint.
  • This creates a direct relationship where offset 2 is controlled by offset 1.

Validate the result:

  • After applying the change, any updates to offset 1 will automatically adjust offset 2.
