Can you fix err_osm_0014 in CATIA V5?

The error code “ERR_OSM_0014” in CATIA V5 typically indicates that the original file opened in the session has been deleted from its original location. This can happen if a network drive or USB drive has been disconnected or if the file was deleted accidentally.

To resolve this, you can reattach the network drive or USB, ensuring the drive lettering remains the same, or restore the file from the Windows recycling bin if it was deleted. If these solutions are not possible, for a CATProduct, you can press “save” to regenerate the file in the folder.

For a CATPart, you can trick CATIA into saving by creating a new blank CATIA Part file in the original directory, renaming it to the name of the file loaded in CATIA, and then attempting to save again.

Be aware that errors may appear during this process, and the “DOC_6″ errors that may occur upon reopening the file can be removed using the CATDUAV5 functionality via file > desk.
