Can you convert a CATPart to STEP file?

To convert a CATPart to a STEP file in CATIA V5, V6, or 3DEXPERIENCE, you can use the batch mode conversion feature. Here are the steps:

1. Navigate to “batch management” which can be found under, start > all programs > CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE [your installed version] > tools. This will load the batch monitor.
2. Double-click on “BATCH-DXF-IGES-STEP:Batch Convert CATPart”. This will launch the utility to batch convert.
3. The output must be selected prior to adding files, as the output type cannot be changed without removing the file from the list
4. If using a remote host, ensure the same level of CATIA is also installed on it
5. Use “OPTIONS” to modify the output of a particular type.

Please note that when using V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE, you must connect to the ENOVIA database to import/export data.
