Technia signs agreement with two global telecom suppliers for the supply of software valued at more than SEK 35 M

Technia, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of PLM solutions (Product Lifecycle Management), has signed an agreement valued at more than SEK 35 M with two global telecom suppliers. The agreement extends over a period of 24 months and comprises the delivery of ENOVIA PLM Solution from Dassault Systèmes, with corresponding support and maintenance agreements. Approximately SEK 8 M of the total order value pertains to an extension of the existing agreement.

Technia is the largest supplier of PLM solutions in the Nordic region and one of the leading suppliers in Europe. During 2007, PLM projects were conducted under Technia’s management in 36 countries. A PLM system is a platform where all of a company’s product-related information is collected and can then be utilized throughout the entire organization, from research and development to production, sales and aftermarket.

Technia is currently conducting business with companies within several industries. Within the telecom industry, customers include Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication, Ericsson, Nera Networks, Nokia, Nokia Siemens Network, Proximion Fiber Systems and Telenor Cinclus.

“These agreements pertain to the supply of software with support and maintenance agreements. Our total offering also includes a review of customers’ processes, adaptations and introduction of systems, commissioning, training, maintenance and support. We have strengthened our position further and created an excellent platform for future business,” says Staffan Hanstorp, President and CEO of Addnode AB.

“We are very proud that global companies with complex needs are choosing to work with us. The beginning of 2008 has been very positive and we can see a distinct increase in demands from customers that need to enhance the efficiency of their development and rapidly introduce new products in the market. To cope with these challenges, a structured development process is needed and the possibility to cooperate and exchange product data both locally and globally. We assist our customers in solving this problem, with strategic advice and by implementing and maintaining the PLM system,” says Jonas Gejer, Vice President of Technia AB.

These two Nordic Telecom successes confirm the PLM know-how and the PLM expertise of Technia in this growing industry. With ENOVIA PLM 2.0 customers IP and data authoring is protected and world-wide collaboration is a reality”, says Denis Senpere, Senior Vice President of Dassault Systèmes and General Manager of ENOVIA Europe.
