Technia intensifies its focus on Norway. With the intention of further increasing the company’s presence there, Technia has broadened its portfolio and is working intensively with both ENOVIA MatrixOne and ENOVIA SmarTeam.
The ENOVIA SmarTeam solution particularly suits Norway since it is a country with a different industrial structure than Sweden, and therefore there are many small and medium sized very innovative companies.
– Our aim is to grow. We have employed new co-workers, three new senior consultants and also sales personnel in order to meet the demands from the Norwegian market. At the moment there are 10 employees working in Norway but we are looking to expand even further, says Jonas Gejer, VP at Technia.
Recently Technia signed a deal with Norwegian company Telenor Cinclus, a leader in the automatic metre reading market, which means that Technia continues to grow within the High-Tech sector. ENOVIA MatrixOne will handle product traceability and control delivery to the customer. Information will be gathered in one place and then be used over the entire organisation – from research and development to production and after market support.
Similar to other countries, new market segments in Norway that have shown interest in PLM are the retail, food and beverage, and sports apparel industries. Another is the Norwegian offshore industry.
The offshore sector faces basically the same problems as many other businesses. They strive to gain control as well as to make product information accessible and easy to distribute. Strict demands on traceability and additionally on after-market and service have also become increasingly important. A necessity is to produce machine equipment faster since the offshore segment faces delivery problems and not sales issues. PLM can increase production and development efficiency in order to enable faster delivery.
Some of the larger players in this industry like Schlumberger and Haliburton have been using PLM for years now. For them it has been a prerequisite to be able to act globally. Technia has continuously worked on developing offers which also suit small and medium sized companies, and are therefore able to better respond to the increasing demands from the Norwegian market.
- We give priority to this market by employing people with the right expertise and by developing the right type of offers. This means that we have a better platform in order to serve the customers in Norway, and that Technia is improving its international reach and its delivery capacity even further, says Jonas Gejer.
