Automotive Industrial Automation Leader Comau Selects MatrixOne to Speed Product Development, Improve Global Information Sharing

Westford, Mass., - January 18, 2005 - MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), a leading provider of collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the value chain , today announced that Comau Pico, a global supplier of industrial automation systems for the automotive manufacturing sector, has selected the MatrixOne PLM environment as a solution for its PLM system. The expansion of its existing relationship with MatrixOne allows Comau Pico to build upon previous efforts to improve the collection and flow of data throughout its organization in bringing new automation products to market.

Comau Pico is a company of the Comau Group, the largest automotive production system supplier in the world. As the company has grown over the past 50 years, so too has the amount of product data needing to be categorized, managed and stored for future use. The Comau Group has adopted MatrixOne's PLM environment as a means toward a standardized, global solution for technical data management.
